1984: Robert Irsay and the Colts find a new home in Indianapolis on March 29,1984.

1985: Rod Dowhower replaced Hal Hunter as the head coach of the Indianapolis Colts in 1985.

1986: After losing the first 13 games of the '86 season, the Indianapolis Colts relieved Rod Dowhower of his duties as head coach and hired Ron Meyer.

1987: Future Hall of Famer Eric Dickerson made his Indianapolis Colts debut on November 22, 1987 against the New England Patriots.

1988: Making it to their first playoff game as the Indianapolis Colts, the team lost to the Cleveland Browns in the divisional round on January 10, 1988.

1989: Ray Donaldson, along with Chris Hinton and Eric Dickerson, represented the Indianapolis Colts at the Pro Bowl on January 29, 1929.

1990: The Indianapolis Colts drafted Indianapolis native Jeff George 1st overall in the 1990 draft on April 22nd.

1991: A rough year for the Indianapolis Colts, the team went on to earn a record of 1-15. The worst in Indianapolis' history.

1992: Ted Marchibroda returned as the head coach for the Colts in 1992. (Marchibroda was the head coach of the Baltimore Colts 1975-1979.)

1993: The Colts scored the fewest points in the league during the 1993 season with only 189 points.

1994: The original home of the Indianapolis Colts was renamed from the Hoosier Dome to the RCA Dome in 1994.

1995: Jim Harbaugh was named Comeback Player of the Year and was the NFL Passing Leader in the 1995 season.

1996: Captain Comeback (Jim Harbaugh) threw an unsuccessful hail mary to Aaron Bailey in an attempt to defeat the Steelers in the 1995 AFC Championship Game on January 14, 1996.

1997: With the passing of his father, Jim Irsay took complete ownership of the Indianapolis Colts on January 14, 1997.

1998: Selected #1 overall, Peyton Manning join the Indianapolis Colts on April 18th.

1999: With the 4th overall pick, the Colts selected RB Edgerrin James who went on to win the NFL rushing title his rookie year.

2000: Peyton Manning, Edgerrin James and Marvin Harrison play in their first Pro Bowl game on February 6, 2000.

2001: "PLAYOFFS?!" Jim Mora's infamous press conference occurred on November 25, 2001.

2002: The Colts hire Tony Dungy as head coach on January 22, 2002.

2003: The Colts rallied back from a 14-35 deficit to beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 38-35 in overtime on October 6, 2003.

2004: Indianapolis won its first playoff game at home against the Denver Broncos in the AFC Wild Card round on January 4, 2004.

2005: The Indianapolis Colts set an NFL record by winning twelve games in which they never trailed at any point in the contest.

2006: Representing the Indianapolis Colts at the Pro Bowl on February 12, 2006 were Manning, James, Harrison, Glenn, Saturday, Freeney, June and Sanders.

2007: The Indianapolis Colts overcame a 21-3 deficit to the New England Patriots to win the AFC Championship game on January 21, 2006 and later SBXLI.

2008: In 2008, Lucas Oil Stadium opened its doors to become the new home of the Indianapolis Colts.

2009: Tony Dungy announced his retirement as coach of the Indianapolis Colts on January 12, 2009.

2010: The Indianapolis Colts appeared in their second Super Bowl on February 7, 2010 losing to the New Orleans Saints.

2011: Peyton Manning was sidelined during the 2011 season due to multiple neck surgeries.

2012: With the 1st overall pick in the draft, the Indianapolis Colts selected Andrew Luck on April 26, 2012.

2013: Overcoming a 10-38 point deficit against the Kansas City Chiefs, the Indianapolis Colts managed a 45-44 victory lead by Andrew Luck.

2014: Playing in both his 209th game and his 142nd win on December 14, 2014, Reggie Wayne broke the franchise records previously set by Peyton Manning.

2015: With a shoulder injury and lacerated kidney, Andrew Luck played in only 7 games in 2015 with backup QB Matt Hasselbeck playing in 8.

2016: Drafted 18th overall in the 2016 Draft, Ryan Kelly join the Indianapolis Colts on April 28, 2016.

2017: The Indianapolis Colts hired former Kansas City Chiefs Director of Football Operations Chris Ballard as the new General Manager.
