Community Tuesday: Meijer Thanksgiving Shopping

Colts quarterback Daniel Jones spent the afternoon visiting patients at Peyton Manning Children's Hospital, bringing smiles, making memories and sharing his excitement for the upcoming season.

The Colts and DeForest Buckner hosted their annual Skills Camp. Hosted for 2nd-8th graders, this one-day camp provided instructional drill work, skill development, and opportunities in character and leadership.

The Indianapolis Colts hosted their 14th annual Habitat for Humanity Panel Build with Greater Indy Habitat for Humanity. Joined by volunteers from Everwise Credit Union and Benge's Hardware, they partnered to construct key parts of a home that will soon give a local family a fresh start as first-time homeowners.

Indianapolis Colts players visited the IndyHumane shelter and adoption center on the city's north side, where they teamed up with staff to walk dogs, socialize with animals and provide extra care and attention,  bringing plenty of smiles to both the animals and the people who care for them.

Casey Foyt, Owner & Executive Vice President and Kalen Jackson, Owner & Chief Brand Officer joined local officials and community partners in commemorating the opening of the new Indianapolis Animal Care Services animal welfare center and shelter.

The Indianapolis Colts joined with volunteers from Coca-Cola Consolidated and Meijer on behalf of Indy Parks to plant 100 trees and beautify Grassy Creek Regional Park on Indy's Eastside.

The Colts defensive line surprised young men from the Bloom Project with Christmas gifts, creating a day full of smiles, laughter, connection, and holiday cheer.

The Bloom Project supports young men ages 12–18 by helping them grow, dream big, and prepare for what's next through mentorship, college prep, character development and life-building experiences.

The Indianapolis Colts and CSI Cargo Services partnered to provide over 30 foster children with backpacks filled with age-appropriate books through the Books for Youth program. Hosted by GM Chris Ballard and his family, the event featured Colts players, Cheerleaders, and mascot Blue, continuing an initiative that has collected nearly 900,000 books and distributed more than 10,000 backpacks statewide.

The Indianapolis Colts and Meijer hosted a special shopping event where kids from Indianapolis had the opportunity to "Shop with a Colt" at Meijer to pick out toys, clothes and gifts for themselves and others during this holiday season.

Participants from Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Indiana shopped alongside Colts players, Colts Cheerleaders and team mascot "Blue."
