Riley Children's Health Sports Legends Experience at The Children's Museum of Indianapolis
Come celebrate the birthday of the 4x NFL Mascot of the Year, Blue! Join us at the world's biggest and best Children's Museum for a night of sports activities, special guest appearances by Blue's friends, outdoor fun, birthday surprises, and more! Tickets are free for kids 17 and younger and $5 for adults.
Event Details
Where do I park?
Guests can park for free in The Children's Museum lots and garage: Water Clock Lot, Train Lot, Polar Bear Lot (access from Illinois St. north of the garage entrance/exit) or Visitor Garage Parking (accessed from the left side of Illinois St. just north of 30th St.).
Is ADA parking available?
Yes! Both the Visitor Garage and Water Clock Lot offer designated ADA parking spaces.
Can I leave and come back?
Yes! Re-entry is permitted within your designated time window. Tickets must be shown to re-enter.
What kind of activities will there be?
Families will enjoy open play, sports games, mascot-led activities like a football relay race, a home run derby, dodgeball, and a grand finale birthday sing-along with a trophy presentation! Closed-toed shoes are recommended for this event.
Can I bring a stroller?
Yes! Strollers are welcome. Please be mindful of high-traffic areas during activity times.
Is the event indoors or outdoors?
The event takes place at the Riley Children's Health Sports Legends Experience, which includes both indoor and outdoor spaces. Please dress appropriately for the weather. If weather becomes dangerous, the Colts will send communication.
Can I bring in a bag?
Yes, guests are permitted to bring bags into The Children's Museum. Backpacks, diaper bags, and other types of bags are generally permitted. Please see the Children’s Museum Code of Conduct for a list of prohibited items.
What happens if it rains?
The event will proceed rain or shine. Some activities may be adjusted in case of inclement weather. If inclement weather occurs, information will be shared immediately with ticket holders via email. The Indianapolis Colts will follow The Children's Museum weather policies.
Tickets
Do I need a ticket for each person?
Tickets are $5 for adults. Children 17 and under are free, but every child still needs a ticket to attend, regardless of age.
Can I purchase tickets at the door?
We strongly recommend purchasing tickets in advance. This event is expected to sell out, and walk-up tickets may not be available on event day.
What does my ticket include?
Your event ticket grants access to all Blue's Birthday Bash activities within the Riley Children's Health Sports Legends Experience®. Please note that the museum's regular exhibits and attractions are not included unless specified.​
Why do kids need tickets if they’re free?
To ensure a safe and comfortable experience for all guests, we require a ticket for every attendee—including all children—to properly manage event capacity.
Do I have to be a Museum Member to attend the Birthday Bash?
This event is open to the public, so all are allowed to attend after downloading a ticket.
I am a Museum Member, do I still need to download a ticket?
Yes, everyone must claim and download a ticket to Blue's Birthday Bash.
Do I need to fill out a waiver?
Everyone in attendance must fill out the waiver, which will be shared in the Know Before You Go email to be sent the week of the event.
Can my child attend without adult supervision?
Each child must be accompanied by an adult parent or guardian at all times to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all guests.
What if I claim tickets and cannot attend?
There are no exchanges for Blue's Birthday Bash Tickets. Tickets may be transferred to another person to use through the Colts Official App. In the event of inclement weather, admission will be refunded.
Concessions
Will food and drinks be available?
Limited concessions will be available on-site. Family-friendly snacks and drinks will be offered.
Can we bring our own food or drinks?
Outside food and beverages are not permitted, except for infant and toddler needs.
