"Everything hurt. I had a bunch of injuries. It's totally different this year. Last year at this time, I had to moan and groan every time I got up and ran a play. Now, things are more upbeat and I'm ready to do whatever it takes and it means more this year."

"At Miami, records are not going to stand that long because you really don't have that many opportunities because you're going to split time and you always have to share the ball as a running back. At Miami, it's not like that because we mold everyone so that came come in and contribute."

"I'm more laid back. He's (Portis) is having fun. You gotta love Clinton (Portis). He's doing things all in fun. He's one of those guys who works real hard. You have some guys who just talk all the time, but he (Portis) is going to talk and have fun. That's his way of joking and pushing himself."
RB-EDGERRIN JAMES (on QB-Peyton Manning and the playoffs)
"He (Manning) wants to win. Peyton is a person who puts a lot of time into something and anytime you put a lot of time into something, you want results and that's one thing that he wants. That's just the bottom line. He basically lives over here (Colts complex). He does everything for football to have success in football. He expects to have great days."

"Hands down. There are some good nominees, but Peyton has been balling this year. He's been making strides every year. There's no question about it."

"You work all year for something. You don't want it to be over. You want to do something. I've been here long enough. This is my fifth year and you want to do something, more that you've done before. You don't want to same old story. Making the playoffs for us was never the issue. It's a matter of what are you going to go when you get there, and that's where we are right now. We are right there and everybody has to come together."
