CLEVELAND BROWNS vs. INDIANAPOLIS COLTS POST-GAME QUOTES

HEAD COACH ROMEO CRENNEL (general comments) Cleveland Browns vs. Indianapolis Colts 9/25/05

"We knew we were going to face a good team when we came up here. We tried to play with them, but we made too many mistakes to give ourselves a chance to win the game. We kind of shot ourselves in the foot. Dennis Northcutt gets another return for a touchdown and it gets called back because of a penalty. We got another taunting penalty, and stuff like that you can't do against this football team, particularly in their place."

HEAD COACH ROMEO CRENNEL (on not being able to pull out the win) Cleveland Browns vs. Indianapolis Colts 9/25/05

"We didn't do enough things to win the game. That's where we are. We've got a bye week coming up, so we'll go and look at the past three games and the areas we need to improve on and try to get better as a team."

RB- REUBEN DROUGHNS (general comments) Cleveland Browns vs. Indianapolis Colts 9/25/05

"We definitely could have done better in the red zone, erasing all the penalties early. We beat ourselves early in the first half. Once we get that worked out, we're going to be an alright team. You come in to play a good team like this and hold them to only 13 points, that's a heck of a job."

RB-REUBEN DROUGHNS (on the punt return called back) Cleveland Browns vs. Indianapolis Colts 9/25/05

"We're going to get one of those one of these days. We just have to hold off on those penalties. If we take advantage he's going to take one back almost every time."

WR-BRAYLON EDWARDS (on the taunting penalty early in the game)

"It was one of the guys I played at school with at Michigan, Cato June, and he and I had a couple of jokes during the game and there was nothing meant by what happened, it was just joking, but the referee made a call and as a player we respect the referee's calls."

WR-BRAYLON EDWARDS (on the Colts' defense)

"They didn't do anything that we didn't practice. Everything that we practiced they did and they just played hard. Hats off to those guys, they played a heck of a game. There were some plays where we basically shot ourselves in the foot. There were some plays we didn't make and some penalties, so today we just shot ourselves in the foot."

WR-BRAYLON EDWARDS (on the Colts' pass rush)

"Obviously they have a good pass rush with two good defensive ends and a good interior guy. The main thing about it is we knew we were going to have to have good protection and have a tight end stay in this week and by doing that we would only have one or two receivers at a time."

LB-BEN TAYLOR (on the Colts' offense)

"They tried a couple of things, but we made some adjustments. They had one touchdown in the first half and we were able to keep them out the rest of the time. It's a good offense. You keep them to 13 points, you definitely have a chance of being in the game and winning it. We just didn't capitalize on it."

LB-ANDRA DAVIS (on the play of the Browns' defense)

"We got a lot of work to do. There's a lot of things we can do better. We failed to get he offense the ball. Today we showed we can play with anybody in this league. We're going to get better."
