It will mark the 72nd all-time regular season meeting between the teams with Indianapolis holding a 42-29 advantage, including 20-15 at home. In Week 3 last season, the Colts hosted and defeated New York, 36-7. Cornerbacks Xavier Rhodes (two interceptions) and T.J. Carrie (one interception) each returned an interception for a touchdown. The Indianapolis defense accounted for 16 points and three interceptions as a unit. It marked the third time in team history and the first time in the Indianapolis era that the team had at least two interceptions returned for touchdowns in a single game (the last time it happened was 10/18/70 at the New York Jets).
