WR-REGGIE WAYNE (on having Adam Vinatieri on his team) *Thursday *
"He's one of the masters. He's been in this situation before, hundreds of times. He has a lot of hardware to show you. Whenever you have him back there, you just feel like it going to get done. The job is going to get done. Hopefully we won't need him. Just having him in our presence is always a plus."
WR-REGGIE WAYNE (on the return on WR-Marvin Harrison) Thursday
"He's working. He's practicing. That's good. He looks fine. He looks like he's ready to play. I'm not sure if he's a 100 percent or not. It's kinda hard to tell. As long as he's out there, it'll be a plus for us. Hopefully we can get him out there as close as 100 percent as possible."
WR-REGGIE WAYNE (on not having WR-Marvin for such a long stretch) Thursday
"It was the same thing. I still had to run routes, run fast and catch balls. It was nothing different. It just was tough on our end because we lost a key weapon. It's kinda been like that for years. We lose somebody that's huge part of the plan and we have to get guys to step up more and make things happen."
WR-REGGIE WAYNE (on if he saw himself as the No. 1 receive in Harrison absence) Thursday
"I don't think there's one receiver in this league that doesn't see themselves as the No. 1 receiver, even if you're the fourth receiver. You always envision yourself being that guy and if you get the opportunity, you want to seize that moment. As far as me and my role, it's always the same. The only thing that changed was a couple extra balls."
WR-REGGIE WAYNE (on if it was his best season or just more balls thrown his way) Thursday
"I should ask you that question. I'm just doing the same thing. The only thing I think that's changed is I got more opportunities and I just wanted to prove that I can be a guy that can be depended on in key situations over and over again."
WR-REGGIE WAYNE (on having a full stable of receivers Sunday and the mental aspects) Thursday
"It's huge. The more the merrier. Just thinking about that question, the last time we played the Chargers, out of a 53-man roster, we only had 30-something guys that played. Now we're closer to 53. We're not full strength, but we still have enough guys to go out there and make things happen and I think we'll be ready to play."
WR-REGGIE WAYNE (on what he saw of Chargers DB-Antonio Cromartie the last game) Thursday
"A lot of interceptions. Their (defense) was the best at creating turnovers this year. He's a young guy. He's what we say, he's balling. You have to some kind of way keep the ball out of his hands.&n
