HEAD COACH TONY DUNGY(on how practice went) 11/18/04
"I thought it was very good. I thought our offense was really sharp. Our defense was very energetic and it was a really good day of practice."
HEAD COACH TONY DUNGY(on if the defensive players are starting to grow into their roles) 11/18/04
"I think we are, and we've played two really good offenses the last two weeks and played pretty well. Now, we've played at home and we've had the surface and the crowd noise, some things that help you. We have to transfer that same energy on the road, and that will be our challenge this week."
HEAD COACH TONY DUNGY(on if it's a disadvantage playing on the road on Thanksgiving Day) 11/18/04
"Traveling on a short week is tough, but if you look at it historically, the home teams haven't won that many more than normal home teams in a given year. So, the perception is the Lions and Dallasalways win at home on Thanksgiving, but they don't."
HEAD COACH TONY DUNGY(on if you can't let yourself dwell on the short week) 11/18/04
"Absolutely. What you have to do is just put the hammer down and say, 'Hey, we have three days to prepare. We have to go get prepared and play as well as we can play.' And usually, if you have veteran teams, you have a chance to get it done just like any short week. Coming off of Monday night is a short week, too. Veteran teams usually handle that pretty well."
HEAD COACH TONY DUNGY(on playing in Chicago) 11/18/04
"Chicago's a neat place. There's a lot of tradition. I have not been in the stadium since it's been renovated, but Soldier Field has a lot of history. The fans are very knowledgeable. From the time you land at the airport, you can feel like you're in Bears Country, just like going to Green Bayor some of your traditional places. So, it will be fun. I think our guys will enjoy it."
