The Indianapolis Colts will battle the New Orleans Saints on a CBS nationally televised game on Saturday, August 23. Kickoff is slated for 8 p.m. at Lucas Oil Stadium.
The matchup will mark the 13th all-time between the teams in the preseason, with the Colts holding a 7-5 overall advantage. It will also mark the first time the Saints have traveled to Indianapolis for a preseason game since 1991 when the Colts played in the Hoosier Dome.
Last week, the Colts fell to the New York Giants by a score of 27-26. Indianapolis held a 20-0 lead at halftime after limiting New York to just 48 total net yards, five first downs and a 1-of-7 (14%) third down conversion percentage. Safety Dewey McDonald and cornerback Kameron Jackson tied for the team lead with six tackles apiece.
Offensively, wide receiver Hakeem Nicks tied game highs with five receptions for 53 yards. Quarterback Andrew Luck completed 12-of-18 passes (66.7%) for 89 yards and a touchdown for a 96.8 passer rating.
Following Saturday's contest against the Saints, the Colts will close the preseason with a road game against the Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday, August 28 at 7 p.m.
