The Indianapolis Colts will play the St. Louis Rams in their third preseason contest of the 2015 season. Game time is set for 8 p.m. at the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis, Mo.

The matchup will mark only the fourth all-time meeting between the teams in the preseason, with the Rams holding a 2-1 advantage. It will mark the first time the two teams have squared off in the preseason since 2012.

Last week, the Colts lost their preseason home opener to the Chicago Bears by the score of 23-11. Early in the second quarter, Colts quarterback Andrew Luck orchestrated Indianapolis' longest scoring drive of the preseason, completing 4-of-5 passes on the series for 63 yards including a 45-yard connection with wide receiver T.Y. Hilton. The Colts offense amassed 89 yards on nine plays that resulted in a five-yard touchdown run by Luck. The Colts also converted their two-point attempt with a pass from Luck to wide receiver Andre Johnson.

Defensively, the Colts were able to contain Bears running back Matt Forte to only 24 rushing yards on eight carries. Rookie linebacker Junior Sylvestre led the team with seven tackles (three solo). The Indianapolis defense consistently forced Chicago off the field on third down as the Bears were able to convert only 3-of-12 (25%) third down attempts (0-5-0% in the first half).

Following Saturday's game, the Colts will head back to Indianapolis to host the Cincinnati Bengals at Lucas Oil Stadium in the preseason finale on Thursday, Sept. 3. The Colts will then travel to Buffalo for their regular season opener on Sept. 13 vs. the Bills.
