INDIANAPOLIS — Around kickoff Saturday afternoon at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Mo., temperatures are expected to be in the mid-30s, with a wind chill of about 29 degrees.

That’s balmy compared to what the Indianapolis Colts experienced on Wednesday.

Putting in their first on-field preparations for Saturday’s Divisional Round matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs, head coach Frank Reich’s crew headed outdoors at the Indiana Farm Bureau Football Center, where they were greeted with snow showers and temperatures in the low 20s — with a wind chill of about 13 degrees.

Welcome to mid-January football in the Midwest.

After a walkthrough session on Tuesday — one in which the team released a participation report that was an estimation had it held an actual practice — several players were back in action on Wednesday.

Those who were estimated to be labeled as “did not practice” on Tuesday who practiced on Wednesday included tight end Eric Ebron (hip), safety Clayton Geathers (knee), wide receiver Dontrelle Inman (shoulder/finger) and defensive end Jabaal Sheard (knee).

Linebacker Darius Leonard (shoulder/ankle), who was estimated as limited on Tuesday, was also practicing on Wednesday, as was safety J.J. Wilcox (ankle), who was estimated to be a full participant on Tuesday.

Those who weren’t out on the field Wednesday in the open portion of practice available to be seen by the media: defensive tackle/end Denico Autry (shoulder), wide receiver Ryan Grant (toe), wide receiver T.Y. Hilton (ankle) and defensive tackle/end Tyquan Lewis (knee).
