Hello there faithful readers! It has been awhile since my last blog; I almost began to miss you. So to catch up there are a lot of exciting things going on in Colts world. We had an MIP stop yesterday in Sellersburg and starting on Friday we will have our first ever Fan Fest in Anderson. All exciting things.
But back to yesterday we traveled, and we were all a tad nervous. It had been pouring rain all day in not only Indianapolis but also in Sellersburg. Not only was it pouring, but it was also windy and humid. These things do not make a good combo when mixed with a MIP tour. Brian and I rode down to Sellersburg in the mini-van, and every time a good song finally came on the radio, there was an important weather alert. "For the entire listening area there is a tornado watch as well as severe thunderstorm warning" (YEAY). Not really what you want to hear. Since the Burban has satellite radio, Brian and I are the only ones hearing this.
As we arrived in Sellersburg the radio cut out, and thankfully we were no longer in the listening area. We were able to get everything set up, and it only sprinkled for like ten minutes at the beginning and it wasn't very windy at all (sadly, still very humid). The MIP stop was a huge success. Over 2000 people came out. As soon as we packed up and headed back for Indy, it began to rain again. Luckily, we were able to miss all of the big storms.
This sadly wraps up my tour blog for awhile. We will be starting Fan Fest this Friday in Anderson from 5:00PM – 8:30PM. For more information on Colts Fan Fests check out www.colts.com/fanfest. Be sure to come out. It will be tons of fun, and if you are lucky enough, you might even see me there. For those faithful readers, fear not for I will return with my blogs June 25th (for those of you who don't know, that is 2 days before my birthday).
And like always, feel free to email me at MIP@colts.nfl.net if you have any questions, comments or fan mail!
