INDIANAPOLIS – The Indianapolis Colts are proud to announce Bill Kord, an Indianapolis, Ind. resident, as a 2015 honoree of the Colts Anthem Angels program, presented by Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield. Kord will be recognized at the Colts home game this Sunday, November 8, 2015, for his outstanding contributions to the community.

Kord has served as a Volunteer Ambassador at the Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center every Tuesday for the past two years.  Bill works directly with veterans in the Hematology/Oncology Department, where he performs tasks including cleaning exam rooms, delivering labs, escorting patients and more. Kord, who is a Vietnam veteran himself, is able to connect with patients on a personal level to ensure that their stay is comfortable. Kord served as the first volunteer of the Ambassador Program, and is now responsible for training each new member of the team.  The Volunteer Ambassador program today has grown to include five members as well as assistance from local high school students.

Jacqueline Brumley, who heads the Volunteer Ambassador Program, describes Bill as "a phenomenal worker who goes above and beyond on a daily basis." Brumley includes that Kord has become an integral part of the Volunteer Ambassador family, and has been instrumental in serving both the medical staff and patients' needs.
