Sarah is a veteran on the squad enjoying her second season with the Indianapolis Colts. Cheering for her hometown team is a positive impact in her life. "[It] has allowed me to develop communication skills, confidence, and great friendships." Outside of the Colts, she stays busy studying to be a lawyer. "School, friends, and family take up all the time I spend off the field." Sarah has a heart for helping others and dreams of big city living.
After graduating from DePauw University, she moved back to Indianapolis to attend graduate school and study law. Her interest began in high school. Sarah was inspired by a woman named Mimi Silbert. Silbert founded a self-help organization called the Delancey Street Foundation. This nation-wide program helps provide, "work, shelter, and community support" to those in need. "The foundation is what triggered my interest in law, justice, and politics." Sarah hopes to practice in Chicago or New York in the future.
Although moving to a large city would intimidate many people, Sarah has traveled to exotic locations like India, Botswana and Nigeria with no sign of slowing down. Traveling in the future is definitely on her agenda. The one skill she wishes she could learn is surfing. "I'm a beach bum at heart!" She says her goal in life is ultimately to give back and improve the lives of others.
Sarah's background in dance started with ballet classes as a child. She was also involved in various dance teams, high school cheerleading, and was a member of the DePauw Poms for three years. "I saw Colts Cheerleading as a way to do what I love at a professional level as well as a way to be a part of a well respected organization." She truly admires all her teammates. "They are all well rounded, smart, beautiful, successful women and I am truly amazed at how they all balance their personal and professional lives…" Sarah continues to live every day as a wonderful ambassador of the Colts organization.
