The National Football League announced today that Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck has been named the AFC’s Offensive Player of the Month after three standout performances in November.

INDIANAPOLIS — 74-of-95 passes (77.9 percent) for 925 yards and nine touchdowns to three interceptions, all for a quarterback rating of 125.7.

Those were Andrew Luck's numbers during the month of November.

But perhaps no numbers are more important than these: 3-0 — the Indianapolis Colts' record over their three November games.

The Colts are rolling, and their quarterback is playing the best football of his career.

And today, Luck and his team were recognized for their efforts.

The National Football League announced Luck has been named the AFC Offensive Player of the Month for November.

It's the second time in Luck's career he has earned AFC Player of the Month honors; his first selection came in November 2014. Luck is also the first Colts player to earn AFC Player of the Month honors since kicker Adam Vinatieri was named AFC Special Teams Player of the Month in October 2016.

Luck helped lead the Colts to three wins in three tries — all in front of the home crowd at Lucas Oil Stadium — during November, as Indy would top the Jacksonville Jaguars (29-26), the Tennessee Titans (38-10) and the Miami Dolphins (27-24).

Luck completed 21-of-29 passes for 285 yards with three touchdowns to one interception against Jacksonville; was named AFC Offensive Player of the Week after completing 23-of-29 passes for 297 yards with three touchdowns to zero interceptions against the Titans; and wrapped up the month by completing 30-of-37 passes for 343 yards with three touchdowns to two picks against Miami.

Luck also put in three of the top nine performances of his career in terms of completion percentage during November. The Dolphins game was No. 1 (81.1), the Titans game was No. 2 (79.3) and the Jaguars game was No. 9 (72.4).

His 143.8 quarterback rating against the Titans is also the second-best performance of his career, while his 123.5 rating against the Jaguars is tied for the ninth-best.

Luck also continues to rank among the league leaders in several key offensive categories: pass completions (299; fourth), pass attempts (437; third); completion percentage (68.4; 10th); passing yards (3,112; ninth), passing touchdowns (32; second); passer rating (102.7; eighth) and most first down throws (159; sixth).

With the Colts surging to the tune of five straight wins, the team now sports a 6-5 record heading into Sunday's Week 13 rematch against the Jaguars at TIAA Bank Field. All factors considered — the pure stats matched with his team being in the playoff hunt — and Luck, to many, should easily be considered a candidate for the league’s MVP award heading into the final month of the regular season.

"Yeah, absolutely," Colts head coach Frank Reich said Wednesday when asked if Luck deserved to be in the MVP conversation. "The string of games he has put together, playing a high level. Doing everything that you would think an MVP player would, winning and helping win the kind of games that we have won and just the level of consistency week in and week out."
