Joey Elliott, Pro Scout


Joey Elliott enters his second season with the Colts as a pro scout. He spent the previous six seasons in the Canadian Football League as a scout (2015) and player (2010-14). In 2015, Elliott served as the eastern scout for the Ottawa RedBlacks. Prior to becoming a scout, he played five seasons as a quarterback with the RedBlacks (2014), BC Lions (2013) and Winnipeg Blue Bombers (2010-12). Elliott spent time with the Philadelphia Eagles during the 2010 offseason after signing with the team as an undrafted free agent. Since 2012, he has helped train NFL Draft prospects at St. Vincent Sports Performance. In 2010, Elliott started the Elliott Quarterback Academy, LLC to help train young athletes in the mental and physical fundamentals necessary to develop into complete athletes. The Evansville, Ind. native played collegiately at Purdue (2005-09) and earned a bachelor’s degree in organizational leadership and supervision with a minor in communications and a certificate in entrepreneurship and innovation. He was a team co-captain in 2009 and was an Academic All-Big Ten selection from 2007-09.
