2008:  Started 12 games at C…was inactive vs. Chicago 9/7, at Minnesota 9/14, at Cleveland 11/30 and vs. Cincinnati 12/7…has been starting fixture on line for nine seasons, while also playing in 1999…with linemates, has helped club produce 5,000+ net yards in last 10 seasons (club has produced franchise record 11 consecutive overall)…line has yielded only 192 sacks in last 160 games, the lowest total in NFL…line allowed 14 sacks in 2008, ranking 3rd in AFC and 4th in NFL in fewest sacks allowed…marked sixth time in seven seasons club ranked in top five in NFL (23,2002, 4th; 19, 2003, 3rd; 14, 2004, T1st; 20, 2005, 1st; 15, 2006, 1st; 23, 2007, 7th; 14, 2008, 4th)…line set franchise record in 2008 for best ratio of sacks per pass plays (1 sack for every 42.8 pass plays), while six-best ratios of sacks per pass plays in the club's 56-year history have been accomplished since 1998: 1 sack for 42.8 pass plays in 2008 (599 pass plays, 14 sacks); 1 for 40.0 in 1999 (560, 14), 1 for 38.6 in 2004 (541, 14), 1 for 38.1 in 2006 (572, 15), 1 for 30.9 in 2003 (588, 19), 1 for 29.6 in 2000 (591, 20), 1 for 26.7 in 2002 (614, 23) and 1 for 27.2 in 1998 (598, 22)…line helped QB-Peyton Manning become only NFL passer with 11 consecutive seasons with 25+-TD passes and 3,000+ seasons to open career, while Manning extended his NFL record for 4,000+ seasons to nine…has played in 106 career wins with Colts, among the highest number of appearances in victories by a player in Indianapolis era (118, Harrison; 117, Manning; 114, Hunter Smith). POST-SEASON:  Started at C in Wild Card Playoffs at San Diego 1/3.

2007:
  Started 16 games at C…earned Pro Bowl honors for third consecutive season…was named First-Team Associated Press All-
Pro Team, Sports Illustrated NFL All-Pro Team, PFW/PFWA All-NFL Team and PFW/PFWA All-AFC Team…also was named NFL Alumni Offensive Lineman-of-the-Year…line allowed 23 sacks in 2007, ranking 5th in AFC and 7th in NFL in fewest sacks allowed…snapped streak of five consecutive seasons club ranked in top five in fewest sacks allowed...line helped RB-Joseph Addai (261-1,072, 12 TDs) become third Colts rusher (Marshall Faulk, Edgerrin James) to begin career with consecutive 1,000+ seasons...line helped club total 19 rushing TDs, the most since 22 in 1990…line helped club produce 7th 4,000+-passer (4,040, Manning) and 1,000+-rusher (1,072, Addai) and 1,000+-receiver (1,510, WR-Reggie Wayne) tandem.  POST-SEASON:  Started at C in Divisional Playoffs vs. San Diego 1/13.

2006:  Started 16 games at C for sixth time in career.  POST-SEASON:  Started at C vs. Kansas City in Wild Card Playoffs 1/6, at Baltimore in Divisional Playoffs 1/13, vs. New England in AFC Championship Game 1/21 and vs. Chicago 2/4 in Super Bowl XLI…had FR in end zone for touchdown vs. New England for first career score...helped club average 151.0 rushing yards per game and hold 35:02 time of possession average.

2005:  Started 16 games at C…earned Pro Bowl honors for first time in career, while also being named first-team All-Pro by Associated Press…with linemates, helped club produce 5,000+ net yards and 400+ points…line helped RB-Edgerrin James produce 1,506 rushing yards, his 4th career 1,500+ season, including nine 100+ games.  POST-SEASON:  Started at C vs. Pittsburgh 1/15.

2004:  Started 14 games at C…had played in 85 consecutive games and started 75 consecutively, but was inactive vs. Tennessee 12/5 and at Houston 12/12 with calf injury…with linemates, helped Manning become only NFL QB with six consecutive 4,000+ passing seasons (1999-04), including club-record 4,557 yards in 2004…line helped club set franchise records in net yards (6,475), points scored (522), TDs (66) and first downs (379)…it was club's first 500+-point season…line surrendered 14 sacks in 2004, tying league low…the five best ratios of sacks per pass plays in club history have come since 1998 (1 sack for 40 pass plays in 1999 (560 pass plays-14 sacks); 1 sack for 38.6 plays in 2004 (541-14); 1 sack for 30.9 plays in 2003 (588-19); 1 sack for 29.6 pass plays in 2000 (591-20); 1 sack for 27.2 pass plays in 1998 (598-22))…line helped James produce eight 100+ rushing performances, including second career 200+ game at Chicago 11/21…only four NFL teams since 1970 have had league's leading rusher while allowing fewest sacks, and two of four were produced by Colts (1978, Houston, 17 sacks allowed/RB-Earl Campbell, 1,450 yards; 1983, L.A. Rams, 23 sacks allowed/RB-Eric Dickerson, 1,808 yards; 1999, Colts, 14 sacks allowed/James, 1,553 yards; 2000, Colts, 20 sacks allowed/James, 1,709 yards)…only 25 times in NFL's 86 seasons has an offense featured a 4,000+ passer and a 1,000+ rusher and receiver, and, with the help of the line, the Colts have sported such a trio a league-best five times in past seven seasons (1999, 2000, 2001, 2003, 2004), including unprecedented consecutive-season spans (1999-01, 2003-04).  POST-SEASON:  Started at C 1/9 vs. Denver and 1/16 at New England.

2003: Started 16 games for 4th consecutive season, ending year with club linemen-best 64 consecutive starts and 74 consecutive games played…with linemates, helped Manning have 4,000+ passing season, while Harrison topped 100+ receptions…club tallied 447 points, T2nd-most in NFL and then the highest total in franchise history…club was 12-4 and won AFC South title. POST-SEASON: Started at RG 1/4 vs. Denver, at C 1/11 at Kansas City and 1/18 at New England…volunteered for position switch for outing vs. Denver.

2002: Saw action as starting C in 16 games for third consecutive season…joined LT-Tarik Glenn and RG-Ryan Diem as only linemen to start each game…helped form nucleus of line that allowed club to continue possessing one of NFL’s top offenses…club amassed 5,000 net yards for fifth consecutive year…helped QB-Peyton Manning become only QB in NFL history with four consecutive 4,000+ seasons and WR-Marvin Harrison set NFL seasonal mark with 143 receptions while becoming only NFL player with four consecutive 100+ reception seasons…line helped club have 1,000+ rusher in five of past six seasons. POST-SEASON: Started at C 1/4 at NYJ.

2001: Started 16 games at C, opening every game for second consecutive season…line helped Colts produce 10 individual 100+ rushing performances, the most by any NFL team…the 10 individual 100+ games tied club seasonal-best of 10 in 1999, while club did it 9 times in 2000.

2000: Started 16 games at C in first season as full-time starter…played vital role in club allowing only 20 sacks, tied with NYJ for lowest in NFL…the NFL avg. was 39.6…20 sacks allowed were then third-best mark in franchise history (14, 1999; 19, 1969)…Colts allowed 20 sacks in 591 dropbacks (one for every 29.6 attempts), then the second-best mark in franchise history (one for every 40 attempts, 1999)…line paved way for James to win second consecutive NFL rushing title…James posted nine 100+ games, including a franchise-record 219 yards at Seattle 10/15…line helped James (2,303, 2000: 2,139, 1999) produce consecutive 2,000+ yards from scrimmage seasons. POSTSEASON: Started at C at Miami 12/30.

1999: Started 2 of 11 games at LG…missed 9/12 vs. Buffalo, 9/19 at New England, 9/26 at San Diego, 10/10 vs. Miami and 10/24 vs. Cincinnati…started 11/21 at Philadelphia and 11/28 vs. NYJ for injured Steve McKinney…split time with OG-Waverly Jackson in games 13-16…helped team total 200 rushing yards and 255 passing yards at Philadelphia, including 12-152, 2 TDs rushing by James. POSTSEASON: Saw action as reserve RG vs. Tennessee 1/16.

Komen for the Cure, and he has participated with group since 2002...was team's Man of the Year nominee in 2006...received Sagamore of the Wabash Award in 2007...also received Chaucies Place Kids Service Award...Saturday and his wife reside with their children, Jeffrey Douglas (11/15/00), Savannah Faith (9/3/02) and Joshua Bryant (10/2/06), in Indianapolis.
