All NFL teams are implementing a new safety policy this year at stadiums that will make the security process more efficient and effective.  We’re committed to ensuring your experience is second to none, and the safety of our stadium is essential to maintaining this experience.  You deserve to be in a safe, secure environment.

Because of our commitment to your safety, we are implementing a new policy on bags brought into Lucas Oil Stadium starting with our preseason games and continuing throughout the season.

The policy affects the type and size of bags that are permitted into the stadium -- not the items that you normally need to bring to a game. Each fan may carry in their pockets items such as keys, makeup, combs, phones, wallets, and credit cards. Fans may also carry a blanket or jacket into the stadium. Every fan may use the below specified bags to carry other items into the stadium:

  • One bag that is clear plastic, vinyl or PVC that does not exceed 12” by 6” by 12”  OR
  • A one-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag or similar).

  • In addition to one of the clear bags noted above, fans may also carry in a small clutch bag or purse approximately the size of a hand, with or without a handle or strap.
  • An exception will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection gates: Northwest corner (employee entrance) OR Southeast corner (adjacent to Ticket Office).
  • Formula, diapers and wipes may be included in one of the clear bag choices listed above. Each member of a family, including children, will be able to carry an approved clear bag and a clutch purse, providing ample storage capacity.
  • All items subject to inspection.

The Colts Pro Shop and NFLSHOP.COM will have bags for purchase.

Unlike some event venues, we are not banning all bags. We are encouraging fans not to bring any bags, but we, along with the other NFL teams, have created a policy that balances fan needs with improved public safety and convenience.

We’re committed to protecting public safety at Lucas Oil Stadium.  This policy is an important step in achieving that goal.  Thanks for taking the time to read this.  We look forward to seeing you again this season!  GO COLTS!!
