Video: Peyton Manning Sings Country Duet With Thomas Rhett

Posted Mar 12, 2018

Peyton Manning, in town for his annual “Celebration of Caring Gala” to raise funds for the Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital at St. Vincent, on Saturday night took the stage at Banker’s Life Fieldhouse and belted out a duo with country star Thomas Rhett.

INDIANAPOLIS — We all were introduced to Peyton Manning’s impressive pipes back in his playing days with the Indianapolis Colts, when he was mic’d up and caught singing the first line to the Willie Nelson classic “The Party’s Over” (see the last five seconds of this video for that reference).

But, since that time, No. 18 has graced us all with his songbird-like singing voice on several other occasions — none of which are better than his performances with country music’s elite at his annual “Celebration of Caring Gala,” where Manning and his wife, Ashley, raise funds for the Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital at St. Vincent in Indy.

That tradition continued on Saturday at this year’s Gala at Banker’s Life Fieldhouse, where Manning and his friend Thomas Rhett teamed up to sing “That Ain’t My Truck,” a hit song originally released by Rhett’s father, Rhett Akins, back in 1995. As mentioned, this is just the latest chapter in Manning’s singing career, as he has also shared the mic with the likes of Luke Bryan, Dierks Bentley, Jake Owen and Cole Swindell.
