Video Highlights: Sean Spence

Intro: The Indianapolis Colts on Monday announced the signing of veteran inside linebacker Sean Spence. What does the former Steeler and Titan bring to the table?

INDIANAPOLIS — Chris Ballard says Sean Spence “has the speed and athleticism to be a sideline to sideline player.”

He apparently packs quite the punch, too. Just ask DeAndre Washington.

The Oakland Raiders running back had just caught a screen pass in a preseason game against the Tennessee Titans last season when Spence delivered a punishing blow, knocking the ball loose. The fumble was picked up by defensive end David Bass, who took it into the end zone from there.

Spence would go on to turn in a productive regular season with the Titans, and on Monday, he signed a reported one-year contract with the Titans’ AFC South Division rival, the Indianapolis Colts.

After spending a majority of his first couple seasons on IR with various injuries, Spence has been a model of consistency ever since returning to the field in 2014, missing just two games over the past three seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Titans.

Last year in Tennessee, he emerged as a key playmaker on passing downs, starting six games and totaling three sacks and three passes defensed.

In his career, Spence has totaled 144 tackles and five sacks.

He could emerge as a favorite to get a starting spot at inside linebacker for the Colts in 2017, with guys like Edwin Jackson and Antonio Morrison — who will each be playing their second full NFL seasons — fighting for the other spot.

But before we worry about who’s starting where, let’s take a look at Spence’s video highlights throughout his career:
