Monday, June 10, Colts DE Cory Redding cut the ribbon for a newly decorated Colts-themed room and hosted dinner for families at the Ronald McDonald House of Indiana.

INDIANAPOLIS –Off the field, DE Cory Redding is busy giving back to the Colts community. In honor of Redding’s “Colts Care” family shopping spree event and $3,000 donation, a room at the Ronald McDonald House of Indiana (RMHI) is named after the Indianapolis Colts and the Cory Redding Foundation. This spring, the room received a special Colts makeover and was officially opened on Monday, June 10, 2013.

Monday afternoon, Redding joined RMHI Executive Director Beth Johnson and Director of Development Joe Schulz in a ribbon cutting ceremony to reveal the room, decorated with Colts memorabilia and updated furnishings. The Colts theme is represented throughout with walls painted Colts blue and white, featuring action shots of several Colts players, a photo of Lucas Oil Stadium and a framed autographed Redding jersey.

To celebrate the room grand opening, the Colts hosted dinner for 75 family members currently living at the RMHI. A meal of assorted Mexican appetizers and taco combinations from Abuelo’s were enjoyed by the attending families.

Guests were greeted by Colts Cheerleaders to sign autographs and take photos. Many of the children held the cheerleaders’ poms while posing for pictures. Other family members sent uplifting videos of the cheerleaders to their loved ones who are currently hospitalized and were unable to attend the event.

The Ronald McDonald House of Indiana provides a supportive place to stay for families of seriously ill or injured children that are receiving medical care at surrounding hospitals.
