Colts host New York Giants in first home preseason game.

The Indianapolis Colts will host the New York Giants in the second game of the preseason on Saturday. Kickoff is slated set for 7 p.m. at Lucas Oil Stadium.

The matchup will mark the 14th all-time between the teams in the preseason, with the Colts holding an 8-5 overall advantage. It will also mark the first time the Giants have traveled to Indianapolis for a preseason game since 1984 when the Colts played in the Hoosier Dome.

Last week, the Colts fell to the New York Jets by a score of 13-10. The first-team offense drove 75 yards down the field and kicked a field goal on the opening possession. Quarterback Matt Hasselbeck led both teams in passing, completing 10-of-15 passes for 114 yards and a touchdown. Running back Daniel “Boom” Herron reeled in six receptions for 36 yards while adding seven rushes for 26 yards.

The defense held the Jets to just 91 total net yards in the first half.  Inside linebacker Henoc Muamba finished with a game-high 11 tackles (nine solo) to go along with a forced fumble.

Following Saturday’s preseason contest against the Giants, the Colts will return to the Indiana Farm Bureau Football Center to resume practice.
