The Indianapolis Colts today signed defensive tackle Jeremy Liggins to the practice squad and released guard Ian Silberman from the practice squad.

Liggins, 6-3, 315 pounds, spent time on the San Francisco 49ers practice squad earlier this season. He participated in the Seattle Seahawks’ 2017 offseason program and training camp before being waived during final cuts on September 2. Liggins originally signed with the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent on May 12, 2017.

Collegiately, Liggins played in 28 games (seven starts) in three seasons (2014-16) at Mississippi. He saw action at tight end for the majority of his career, but also played some wildcat quarterback. Liggins converted to offensive tackle for his senior season. Prior to Mississippi, he spent one season at Northeast Mississippi Community College where he saw action at defensive end and quarterback.

Silberman, 6-5, 305 pounds, has spent time on the Colts’ active roster and practice squad this season. He was originally claimed by Indianapolis off waivers (from Oakland) on September 3. Silberman has played in one career game in his time with the Colts (2017), Raiders (2016), New England Patriots (2016) and San Francisco 49ers (2015). He was originally selected by the 49ers in the sixth round (190th overall) of the 2015 NFL Draft out of Boston College.
