INDIANAPOLIS – As the Indianapolis Colts celebrate their 30th season this year, they’re also celebrating 30 seasons of Colts Cheerleaders. Since the team’s inaugural 1984 season, hundreds of women from Indiana and beyond have cheered on the sidelines at the team’s home games. This Saturday, August 24, more than 150 of these women will reunite for a special halftime show celebrating the long-standing tradition of the Indianapolis Colts Cheerleaders.

The Indianapolis Colts Cheerleaders were formed in 1984 when auditions were held for the initial squad. More than 750 women attended the auditions in hopes of landing one of the 32 spots. Since that first season, Colts Cheerleaders have had the opportunity to participate in military tours across the world, cheer in two Super Bowls, numerous Pro Bowls, and much more. In addition, each year, Colts Cheerleaders appear at hundreds of community events across Indiana.
