Colts, CBS4 and the Salvation Army Encouraged Fans to Donate Toys at December 11 Game

On Sunday, December 11, the Indianapolis Colts teamed up with CBS4 and the Salvation Army to host the “Angel Tree Toy Collection” prior to the Colts vs. Texans game. From 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., CBS4 personalities, Salvation Army volunteers and Colts Junior Cheerleaders collected new, unwrapped toys from Colts fans for the Salvation Army. Donations were collected at the Colts Community Collection Stations, presented by Toyota, located outside each Lucas Oil Stadium gate.

Beneficiaries of the Salvation Army will receive 1,000 toys donated by Colts fans. Over $3,000 was also collected and will benefit those in need. Participating fans also donated over 60 pieces of clothing to support the collection. Items collected will help less fortunate families have a happy holiday.

All donations will benefit the Salvation Army. CBS4 and the Salvation Army have partnered together to collect toys to distribute to families in need during the holidays for the last 18 years. The Salvation Army is a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization.

The Angel Tree Toy Drive Collection will conclude the Colts Gameday Collections program for the 2016 regular season. For more information about the Colts Gameday Collections program, visit www.colts.com/collections.
