COLTS WAIVE PLAYERS

Indianapolis must meet the NFL-mandated roster size of 75 players by 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The club has waived 11 players.

INDIANAPOLIS – The Indianapolis Colts today waived the following players: CB-Cameron Chism, CB-Antonio Fenelus, CB-Terrence Johnson, CB-Chris Rucker, S-Matt Merletti, S-David Caldwell, LB-Mike Balogun, WR-Quan Cosby, RB-Alvester Alexander, G-Jason Foster and P-Brian Stahovich.

 

Cameron Chism, Antonio Fenelus, Matt Merletti, Jason Foster and Brian Stahovich were all signed by the Colts as undrafted free agents on April 30, 2012.

 

Terrence Johnson was signed to the Colts practice squad on December 23, 2010. The following season, he saw action in 10 contests (two starts).

 

Chris Rucker was originally selected by the Colts in the sixth round (188th overall) of the 2011 NFL Draft.

 

David Caldwell was signed by the Colts as an undrafted free agent on April 30, 2010.

 

Mike Balogun was signed by the Colts as a free agent on August 15, 2012.

 

Quan Cosby was acquired by the Colts from waivers on December 28, 2011.

 

Alvester Alexander was signed by the Colts as a free agent on August 15, 2012.

With the 11 waived players and the trade for cornerback Vontae Davis today, the Colts have reached an 80-man roster. The team has until 4 p.m. EST tomorrow, August 27 to reach the league-mandated 75-man roster.
