INDIANAPOLIS – The Indianapolis Colts have promoted eight employees, including Carlie Irsay-Gordon (Vice Chairman/Owner), Casey Irsay Foyt (Vice Chairman/Owner), Kalen Irsay (Vice Chairman/Owner), Dan Emerson (Vice President and General Counsel), Matt Godbout (Vice President of Sponsorship Sales), Stephanie Mathes (Sr. Director of Community Relations), Jay Souers (Sr. Vice President of Sponsorship Sales) and Andy Stayer (Social Media Coordinator/Production Assistant).
In addition, the team has hired James Bettcher as the Special Assistant to the Head Coach, Mike Bluem as the Director of Football Administration, Rachelle Richey as the Assistant to the General Manager, Dan Silva as a Personnel Assistant and John Speer as the Systems Analyst.
Carlie Irsay-Gordon, Casey Irsay Foyt and Kalen Irsay all represent the next generation of ownership for the Indianapolis Colts. Carlie joined the organization as a Vice President in July of 2008 while Casey (May of 2007) and Kalen (June of 2010) both joined as Vice Presidents as well.
Emerson has represented the Colts since March of 1984 and is a partner in the Indianapolis firm Bose McKinney & Evans, where he chairs the sports and entertainment group. He is listed in Best Lawyers in America and is a Distinguished Fellow of the Indianapolis Bar Foundation.
Godbout is entering his 12th season with the Colts. He previously served as the team’s Sponsorship Sales Account Manager from 2001-07 before being promoted to his previous role as Director of Sponsorship Sales.
Mathes has been part of the Colts organization since 2004 when she started as a seasonal intern. She also served as a Community Relations Assistant, Community Relations Coordinator and Director of Community Relations prior to her current role.
Souers will enter his 16th season with the Colts, serving the last six as Vice President of Sponsorship Sales. He was the team’s Executive Director of Sponsorship Sales from 2000-05, Director of Sponsorship Sales in 1999 and Account Manager from 1997-98.
Stayer attended Ball State University and joined the Colts as an intern in 2007. The following year, he was elevated as the team’s Production Assistant.
Bettcher joins the Colts from the University of New Hampshire where he was an assistant coach on the Wildcats football team. He holds nine years of coaching experience, which includes a stint at the University of North Carolina (2007-09) where he worked with Colts Head Coach Chuck Pagano. Bettcher is a 2003 graduate of the University of St. Francis in Fort Wayne, Indiana and a native of Lakeville, Indiana.
Bluem spent the last 17 seasons in the Denver Broncos’ organization (1995-2011), the last seven (2005-2011) as the team’s Director of Football Administration. During his first five years with the Broncos, he was a College Scouting Assistant before being promoted to Coordinator of College Scouting Operations in 2000. The following season, Bluem was named Coordinator of Football Administration, which included additional responsibilities with Denver’s salary cap. He held that position for five seasons before being promoted to Director of Football Administration in 2005.
Prior to being hired by the Colts, Richey spent the last six years at Bose McKinney & Evans located in Indianapolis, Indiana. She is a native of Knightstown, Indiana.
Silva spent the last five years as the Director of Football Operations at the University of Rhode Island. He graduated from URI with a degree in communication studies.
Speer held the Colts’ IT internship last year following his graduation from Ball State University with a degree in information systems.
