The mission of Gary Brackett's IMPACT Foundation is to provide opportunities and resources to children affected by cancer. The charity provides interactive programs and resources designed to directly benefit these children and their families. Since its inception in 2006, the IMPACT Foundation has impacted the lives of more than 1,500 Indiana families battling pediatric cancer.
The signature programs like "Gary's Locker", "Field of Dreams" and the "Mothers Champagne Brunch" provide these families a break from the everyday stress of dealing with this deadly disease. "Gary's Locker" offers patients and their family's access to notebook computers, digital cameras, dvd players, MP3 players, DVD's, books and games to pass time during treatment and recovery. "Field of Dreams" provides the children and their families with magical memories by fulfilling sports-related wishes and vacation dreams. The "Mother's Champagne Brunch" honor the mothers of children with cancer for the IMPACT they have in their child's life. The Brunch provides these women with the opportunity to "take a minute" for themselves and enjoy each other's company and support.
