SACKing Hunger

The Colts and Meijer team up each year in an effort to "sack" hunger in Indiana.

Every November, the Indianapolis Colts and Meijer team up to stock local food pantries through their SACKing Hunger Campaign. Through this campaign, we will host our 7th annual SACKing Hunger Food Drive at Lucas Oil Stadium from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Colts vs. Dolphins game* on Sunday, November 4, 2012.

Fans who donate at this Sunday’s game will receive a special edition Colts poster featuring the Colts Defensive Line! All donations benefit Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana, an organization that stores and redistributes donated food to more than 350 hunger relief agencies to serve Indiana’s hungry. More than 2,200 pounds of food were collected during this collection in 2011.

*For the first time, fans who are unable to attend the game may donate online via the SACKing Hunger Virtual Food Drive. By visiting http://bit.ly/sackinghunger2012, you may select food as if you are grocery shopping to donate via credit card. At checkout, just make sure to select “Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana” on the recipient drop down menu!  The virtual food drive is open until Friday, November 9.
